A New York Love Story | City Hall Elopement

Claiming to be “very last minute people” Sofia + James decided to elope at City Hall because they just couldn’t wait. They plan to celebrate with a big reception in the following year but they still wanted this small celebration to be unique and memorable. Riding in from Brooklyn, we met at City Hall and I could instantly feel their love bursting with energy. As most City Hall ceremonies go, they are almost instant but absolutely nothing short of romantic.

After the ceremony they took a stroll through Tribeca and suddenly found themselves at Little Italy Pizza. Food is their love language so when I suggested grabbing a slice they were all about it! They even said at their formal ceremony they’ll have a pizza bar so this pit stop was right up their alley.

They ended the day at a cocktail lounge, Boss Tweeds, to sip on a few drinks. The bartender poured them each a glass of champagne for their wedding day while Sofia ordered a classic dirty martini and James, a gin + tonic. Glances were passed and laughter was shared in their dimly lit speakeasy lounge while dreaming of their wedding ceremony.
